
As a partnership, the two members have been entertaining audiences nationwide for over ten years. They have logged countless miles on the road bringing their fun brand of humor and music to the masses. Their stage show is generally a silly look at rock clichés as they use toy instruments and little amps to mock the ‘arena rock’ style of music. Herc.’s show has been mentioned as, “A wild and furious 30 minutes that will have most dorks begging for more...” On a side note, apparently an arch nemesis band called Metal Porpoise shows up at every show to dissuade the audience from liking Herc. But the boys claim they know nothing about this mysterious band! (Wink)
Paul Velat owns and operates his own private music lesson studio and teaches music at St. Pius Elementary School. He has studied with Don Malone, Stacy Garrop, Dan Schaff, Claude Baker, Susan Botti, Patricia Moorehead, Ilya Levinson, Lee Kesselman and Stuart Folse. He can also be seen on a regular basis as the amazing one-man bizarro musical act Lord of the Yum Yum; a spectacle of raw unabashed talent and hilarious stand-alone entertainment that is not to be missed. You will wet yourself from musical joy!
Mike Finch studied fine arts and graphics design at Chicago’s Columbia College where he graduated. Outside of Herc., Mike works hard on his filmmaking pursuits along with freelance design and illustration. His films are known as, ‘Hilarious and awkward comedies about foul-mouthed villains of the suburban thug set...’ He is usually in charge of most aspects of his films: acting, editing, scoring and shooting. He has collaborated on many occasions with the Chicago-based Stationwagon media collective. In addition, he writes a movie column for Lumpen magazine called Movie Licker.
